Justin Can't Wait - 09/06/2010
Words from our new skipper Justin: “I am greatly honoured to be chosen as captain of Llanharan RFC. It is a great privilege, even more so when I realise I am following such a magnificent example as Gareth Edwards. “I am very optimistic about the new season and I am confident we will have another good campaign, in fact there is no reason why we can’t go all the way. We have a very talented squad and I hope we can keep the great majority together again as there was plenty of spirit among the boys. “We are very strong and a second place finish in a very tough East Division confirms that. There is talk that the WRU may move us to the West. From a playing point of view that would not be a concern as I think nothing could be more competitive than the East has been in recent years. “Wherever we end up, we will be ready. Some of us are already putting in personal fitness work, including sessions on the Merthyr Mawr dunes, and by the time our coaches get hold of us in the first week of July we should be in pretty good condition. “To lead Llanharan is an exciting prospect and the season can’t come quickly enough.”
