Scott leads Youth - 10/07/2010

There was an encouraging turn out of 26 players at the Youth’s first training session last Wednesday, including some quality new faces. Leading the team this year will be Scottish Exiles squad man and Players’ Player of the Year Scott Malone, with centre Keegan Rees, another class player, as his vice captain. There will also be a readjustment among the coaches with Kevin Jones acting as head coach and Jeff Pick and Clinton Davies assisting. Two more club stalwarts, Wayne Merry and Dai Martin will be helping out as physios.
The team will be keen to build on last year’s achievements when they won their Blues section and the Taff Rhondda Merit Cup. The next session will be on Wednesday at 6.30 on the Welfare Ground.
