Llanharan Youth took on this fixture at short notice after St Josephs pulled out of the scheduled league game, and came away with a heartening win.
Backs coach Kevin Jones was particularly pleased with the performances of a number of new faces who could boost the squad for next season.
Llanharan ran in five tries through Keegan Rees (2), Paul Songhurst, Rhys Haines and Ross Pritchard with Scott Jones adding two conversions.
They will now be hoping that St Josephs can fulfil this weekend’s game at Llanharan so that they can attempt to pick up the vital points needed top secure the league title. The Taff Rhondda semi final has been rearranged for Wednesday May 5th.
